Farncombe Digestive Health Institute

The Farncombe Family Digestive Health Research Institute was constructed in the McMaster Medical Centre in close proximity to the Pediatrics in-patient wards and intensive care units. It houses new laboratories, including a bio-bubble, and was completed two months ahead of schedule and $250,000 below budget.

Scope of Work:

• New research laboratory space constructed within an existing occupied working hospital in close proximity to the pediatrics in-patient wards and intensive care space.
• Construction of new laboratories, including a bio-bubble.
• Enclosing existing 3rd floor interior courtyard to create usable space for presentations, functions, gatherings, and meetings.
• All work completed without disturbing employees and patients of the McMaster Medical Centre.
