City View Park New Pavilion Building
Project Overview
This 400 m² (4,500 ft²) fully accessible pavilion provides a welcoming community space with public and universal washrooms, a spacious lobby with servery, storage, and building services. A large canopy extends shade and seating, while an outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic pond and connects to lit pathways, parking, and a drop-off zone.
- Interpretive displays, including a large screen and two monitors, highlight the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve
- Sustainable design minimizes energy use and supports Burlington’s goal of carbon-neutral operations by 2040
- On-site infrastructure includes a potable well and raised sand tile field for sewage disposal
- Public art integrated within the parking island enhances the visitor experience
